Downtown McAllen is a bustling center for business that was in need of a structure to facilitate easier parking arrangements. According to Monica Weisberg-Stewart, a Downtown Property Merchant, “It is estimated that the total of central business traffic is 30,194 people on a daily basis, we have 805,837 monthly visitors totaling in an estimated $9,690,600 of total central business district traffic yearly. Those are incredible numbers for a downtown area.”
The McAllen Downtown Parking Garage will house several restaurants in the food court which will open in Summer 2008.
